Travel - On the street in Dublin

Day 3.
Trinity College today and The Book of Kells. I'm jealous. I want to start all over and go to school here.

The long gallery. Over two hundred thousand books.

A walk by the river Liffey.

A walk through Temple Bar.

Dinner at Fallon & Byrne. Good food & market.

They are tearing up the town for a new tram. Cranes up everywhere.

Uprising remembrance everywhere.

I left my purse in a taxi and the driver brought it into the hotel. That is class.  Home to bed in The Clarence.

Travel - Dublin

Day 2.
The Clarence. U2's hotel dead bang in the center of town. Drove down from Collon House after a lavish breakfast. Took about an hour. Dublin has a wonderful vibe. Great scale. Very human. The hotel is made mostly of light oak and has all the right touches in the room. Floor length mirrors, hooks by the door for coats and umbrellas and a lovely terrace looking out over Temple Bar area and Dublin Castle.

The view of The Clarence from across the river Liffey.

Tomorrow Trinity College.

Travel - Republic of Ireland.

Day 1.
Drive to southwest Scotland and board auto ferry - the fast ferry to Belfast. A smooth crossing. 2 1/2 hours. Disembark and drive south through the green country and land at Collon House. 1740. Here's the bed I landed in. Feet up before dinner. What a place.

 Sitting room.

Good place to land. Part of Hidden Ireland. The lovely Collon House.
