Travel - LONDON -Liberty of London

Just around the corner from Mr. Selfridge is the iconic LIBERTY OF LONDON, my favorite London shop.

Like being in a wonderful dream. Between the scarves, the famous tana lawn fabrics, the tana lawn shirts, the buttons, ribbons, tablecloths, pencils, wrapping paper and bags all made from the same Liberty designs I had to go to the tea room and have a coffee to decide. Of course I got a shirt to add to my collection. Outside - Carnaby Street is packed with shoe stores showing brilliantly coloured trainers everywhere. From OFFICE to PUMA to many other new names we do not have in America bold colours rule.

Art - Charles James at The Met

LA to New York the movie was COCO BEFORE CHANEL, lovely picture that got me ready for Charles James stunning show at The Metropolitan Museum of Art.

Arranged in two different parts of the museum so there is plenty of room to walk around the dresses and observe the seams from all angles. One part is set up with cameras that point to specific areas of the dress while you watch a mini movie showing how that particular dress was made.  Fabulous use of technology.

No photos inside. Pity.

Food - Lunch at Angelini Osteria

Does it get any better than this? Spaghetti with sardines from Gino Angelini. Hits the spot and not even expensive. Thank you Gino.
