DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES - The Arts District - Part 2

Between 1st Street and 4th Place to the East of South Alameda Street is the other side of the #artsdistrict in #dtla.

Take a walk and you will find pies and coffee, galleries and the Thursday afternoon farmer's market, sushi and sheets, bars and sculpture, retail stores and the general atmosphere of something un-Los Angeles….a little grittier.

This side of the arts district leaves you feeling as if there is a new discovery in our fair city, although I have to say, I draw the line at rattlesnake and rabbit sausage.

Go figure. It's the best seller.

Be a pinball wizard at Arcade Eighty Two. Easy to pass by in the day, stand on line at night.

Keep walking and you will find the Southern California Institute of Architecture,
better known as Sci-Arc. http://www.sciarc.edu, fabulous views back to the financial district, and the bridge over to East Cesar E. Chavez Avenue. But don't walk.
This is Los Angeles, you simply have to drive.
